At least 130 people have arrested on suspicion of human trafficking in raids across Europe. They arrested in a joint operation in 22 European countries,
according to the international police agency Europol.
The agency also said that more than 100 victims of human trafficking have identified in the operation.
From 8 to 13 last month, the international police organization Europol and the
EU border agency Frontex conducted simultaneous operations in 22 European countries.
According to Europol, the operation carried out to catch human traffickers.
The agency said in a statement on Tuesday (July 5th) that the operation searched 200,000 vehicles
and about 1 million people on the busiest routes across Europe’s seas, land and air borders.
More than 130 people have arrested on suspicion of human trafficking in the eight-day joint operation.
At the same time, 60 more people have identified.
The agency also said that hundreds of victims of human trafficking have identified in the operation.
Officials leading the operation said the international human trafficking ring was active across Europe.
They are illegally bringing in immigrants from different countries.
The operation carried out to deactivate them.
More than 22,000 law enforcement members from 15 countries of the European Union (EU),
the United Kingdom, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia took part in the campaign.🔱
